Allie Ruckman
I am a passionate creative from Boulder, Colorado, who enjoys world travel, film photography, slow Sunday mornings and fueling my creativity through the natural environment around me.
I grew up romping around the foothills of northern Colorado, and my parents instilled in me a passion for all things wild and a healthy balance of creativity and scientific thought. This unique upbringing led me to my studies in journalism and media communication and environmental affairs at Colorado State University, and later to my full-time role as the multimedia communications manager for the CSU College of Natural Sciences. Now, as a communications manager for Western Resource Advocates - a non-profit fighting climate change and its impacts in the Interior West - I support WRA through earned media strategy and integrated marketing and communication campaigns. I collaboratively guide and execute a broad range of public relations activities targeted to influence key decision makers to act in support of land conservation, transportation electrification and clean energy priorities in seven states across the Interior West. My long-term goal is to uplift Colorado's mission-driven institutions through technical writing, an intersectional lens and creative, data-driven communications strategies.
